Pastor Melvin Smith
is married to Mechelle Smith and is the founder of The Abiding Glory Tabernacle in Austin, TX. Pastor Smith is committed to seeing the Word of God taught and confirmed by the Holy Spirit. The mantle that rests on Pastor Melvin is to cause individuals to experience the glory of God by accessing His presence. He served over 21 years in the military before he retired. Traveling around the world through the military has given him a global perspective concerning people.
Pastor Smith holds a Doctorate of Divinity from St. Thomas Christian College. He has also received his Master of Arts in Clinical Pastoral Counseling and his Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies from The Minnesota Graduate School of Theology. He received a Diploma from the Antioch Bible School in Louisville, KY. Pastor Smith also completed the Certificates of Theology program from Oral Roberts University. He is also a graduate of Sonship School of the Firstborn. He is a member of Renny McLean Ministries under Apostle Renny McLean. They have one daughter Sharia, two grandsons Dontae and Derrian, and one granddaughter Christiana.
Pastor Mechelle Smith
is the wife of Melvin Smith, founder and Pastor of The Abiding Glory Tabernacle. Pastor Mechelle believes the Word of God is the foundation of life and that by pursuing the Lord you will understand, obtain, and walk in the destiny that God has ordained for you. Mechelle is a worshipper at heart and preaches a message that provokes individuals to tap into the presence of God. Mechelle delights in seeing God take the problems of people and turns them into their potential.
Mechelle received her Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies from The Minnesota Graduate School of Theology, a Doctorate of Divinity from St. Thomas Christian College, and is a graduate of Sonship School of the Firstborn. She also holds a Bachelors of Science in Accounting from Rochester Institute of Technology and a Master’s of Business Administration from Clark Atlanta University.
Our Overseers – Dr. Renny and Dr. Marina McLean

Apostle Renny McLean has been defined by his peers as one of the most prolific and prophetic voices for the nation. Through several angelic visitations, God made a demand on his life through one final visitation outlined in his first publication, entitled Eternity Invading Time. God exalts Apostle McLean to minister the supernatural in signs, wonders, and miracles. Seeing the miraculous became the norm to him. He describes this as God’s norm and should be norm for the church.
Dr. Marina McLean is known as a worshipper’s worshiper. Her angelic voice captivates a crowd and ushers in the true presence of God. Dr. Marina teaches the sovereign rights of the believer, as we walk in our covenant with the Father. The power is the demonstration of the miracle working power of God displayed through the circumstances of life.
